Trex IPTV refunds, and what a term commits you to

A term is the thing a household commits to, so the refund policy is really a description of that commitment. Reading it before ordering is cheaper than reading it afterwards, because most Trex IPTV refund questions turn out to be counting questions asked a fortnight too late.

What a term commits you to

Paying for a term fixes two things at once: a run of months, and a number of lines. Neither shrinks afterwards. Stopping halfway through does not shorten the run, and the months you did not watch are not separable from the months you did. That is precisely why the household arithmetic belongs in front of the order rather than behind it, and [the term comparison](/plans.php) is the page to settle it on.

Counting the screens low is not a fault

The commonest disappointment here is a household that bought one line, found that two televisions could not share it at eight o'clock, and read that as a broken product. It is the rule the service is priced around rather than a defect. A second simultaneous screen is a second line with its own term beside the first, and there is no refund route for having counted low. [Walking the house room by room](/devices.php) is the five minutes that prevents it, and [the worked examples](/worked-examples.php) show what two and three screens actually cost.

The two situations that end in money back

A payment that cleared without any credentials ever reaching you is refunded outright. Credentials that cannot be made to play on a supported device, after support has worked through it alongside you, are refunded as well. Both start with a message rather than a bank dispute, and both move faster when the dates, the devices and the channel names have been written down first.

Asking, and what happens after

Write from the address the order was placed with, and give the payment date, the amount and a plain account of what failed. Money returns the way it arrived, through the payment provider and back onto whatever paid. The bank sets the timing from there. Prices are quoted in US dollars, so the figure landing back in a local account can differ slightly from the one that left it. [Ask through the contact page](/contact.php) and quote the order number.

Questions

We bought one line and now want a second screen. Is the first refundable?

No, and it does not need to be. The first line is doing exactly what it was sold to do. A second screen is a second line bought alongside it, not a replacement for the first.

Can we cut a long term short and take the difference back?

No. The months in a term are not separable once it has started, and the lower monthly figure a longer term carries is the trade for that.

Would the bank settle this faster than you would?

No. A dispute suspends the line while it is investigated, which removes the quickest routes to a fix and slows the outcome down for everyone.

Worked out what you need?

Once you know how many screens and which line-ups, setting it up takes about a minute.
